This ride has had a recent daytime "reccie" ride, with a night ride "reccie" happening before the club ride.
The ride terrain is largely old logging tracks but may include some side tracks.
There is secure parking at the ride start - we will meet at the Manakau Hotel at 2.15pm and head by convoy to the starting point at 2.30pm to make sure everyone is ready to launch at 3.00pm
The ride will be based on existing tracks but we may explore known tracks throughout the area (depending on the group on the night), with assistance from landowners and local rider knowledge.
4WD quads only as this is the first night ride here - No Side by Sides. Please consider weather conditions if weather is poor. We will hit close to 800m above sea level so the current snow level is very close.
Light Bars are not considered essential but good quality lighting is. If your quad lights are like a kerosene lantern then this is not a ride for you.
